- RTK over internet

In our sparsely populated region few RTK GPS users have been using RTK over internet because mobile-phone coverage is often poor in the locations where they work and because there have been few (if any) internet-accessible reference-station data sources available in the region. This is slowly beginning to change, so Inland GPS has prepared the following series of Technical Tips documents -

Configuring Trimble TSC2 for RTK over internet - establishing IP connection
Instructions for establishing an internet-protocol (IP) connection from a Trimble TSC2 data collector via a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone operating as a modem.

Configuring TSC2/Survey Controller for RTK over internet - connecting to a GNSS receiver
Instructions for configuring the Trimble TSC2 data collector running Survey Controller software to obtain RTK reference-station data from an internet-accessible GNSS receiver.

Configuring TSC2/Survey Controller for RTK over internet - connecting to an NTRIP caster
Instructions for configuring the Trimble TSC2 data collector running Survey Controller software to obtain RTK reference-station data from an NTRIP (Networked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol) caster. Includes information on obtaining no-charge access to the UNAVCO NTRIP caster.

Configuring TSC2/Survey Controller for RTK over internet - using Wi-Fi
This Technical Tip document is intended for use with the other three documents in this series. This document covers the changes to make when the mobile-phone device only provides Wi-Fi connection instead of the preferred Bluetooth Dialup Networking.
